On September 4th, the final of the 13th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Ningbo Division was successfully held. After a day of intense competition, Ningbo Jiangfeng Xinchuang Technology Co., Ltd. won the special prize, three companies including Chaofeng Micro Nano Technology (Ningbo) Co., Ltd. won the first prize, six companies including Ningbo Xinfeng Precision Technology Co., Ltd. won the second prize, and ten companies including Ningbo Rekang Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. won the third prize.

The China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition is currently guided by the Torch Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and is the largest, most widely radiated, and most influential innovation and entrepreneurship competition in the country. Since its first establishment in 2012, the Ningbo competition area has attracted more than 5000 registered projects, produced 163 national award-winning enterprises, cultivated 5 listed enterprises, 1 unicorn enterprise, and 65 gazelle enterprises, and stimulated mainstream domestic investment institutions to invest and finance 7.2 billion yuan in participating enterprise projects. Among them, the official supporting investment institution of the competition, Ningbo Angel Investment Guidance Fund, has invested in 212 participating enterprises with a total investment of nearly 230 million yuan.

The Ningbo division of this competition is hosted by the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau and the Municipal Finance Bureau, and organized by the Municipal Productivity Promotion Center. Following the principles of government guidance, public welfare support, and market assistance, it also includes supporting policies such as financial rewards, angel guided capital, and Ningbo Bank technology credit. The aim is to tap into a group of technology enterprises with innovative capabilities and high growth potential, gather entrepreneurial resources, stimulate innovation vitality, fully play the leading role of scientific and technological innovation support, and promote the leapfrog development of our city's economy and society.

Since its launch in June, the organizing committee of the competition has been deeply involved in various parts of the city, constantly seeking new forces in the fields of new generation information technology, new materials, and high-end equipment manufacturing. Invitations have been sent to high-quality scientific and technological innovation enterprises and teams, and a total of 1154 "potential stocks" have been excavated. After review and confirmation, 990 participating enterprises have been finally identified. Among the participating companies this year, there are over 3000 high-level talents, including 21 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and 805 PhDs. The gold medal "double innovation" competition has brought an increasingly strong gathering effect of high-end scientific and technological innovation talents to Ningbo.

In recent years, the Science and Technology Bureau of Ningbo City has solidly promoted the deep integration of scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation, continuously explored new ways to promote the transformation and application of scientific and technological achievements, further strengthened the deep integration of the "four chains" of industrial chain, innovation chain, capital chain, and talent chain, actively guided financial capital to "invest early, invest small, and invest in technology", and continuously helped high-quality hardcore scientific and technological innovation projects with high scientific and technological content, great market potential, and good social benefits in our city to quickly transform into real productivity, accelerating the creation of a strong atmosphere of innovation and entrepreneurship.

In the previous competition, Yidong Semiconductor (Ningbo) Co., Ltd. won the first prize in the start-up group of the national finals, representing Ningbo enterprises to win the highest honor of the national competition for the first time. This year, we will select 35 companies to represent Ningbo in the national competition again. We hope that participating companies can work together and achieve better results, use the competition as a medium to further strengthen their core scientific and technological innovation capabilities, stimulate high-level talents to innovate and create vitality, and contribute more to Ningbo's efforts to build a global capital of intelligent manufacturing and innovation, and accelerate the construction of a strong country in science and technology.
